APPROVED AUTO REPAIR (AAR)
Any automotive mechanical repair facility that meets AAA's standards,
agrees to abide by the terms of the Approved Auto Repair contract, and has been in business
a minimum of one year is eligible to participate in the Approved Auto Repair program.
Obtaining Approved Auto Repair status means that, in addition to meeting the requirements
outlined in the Approved Auto Repair contract, your facility also must provide service
in the following areas:
- Engine performance
- Minor engine repair
- Brakes
- Electrical systems
Optionally, your shop may also provide service in the following areas:
- Tires, steering, suspension
- Heating, air conditioning
- Major engine repairs
- Automatic transmission
- Manual transmission, rear axle
